He started playing the drums at the age of 10 at 12 he found his first tape recorder and took it apart to have more tracks to record ‘like the Beatles’. At the age of 17 he had his first live performance in front of 5000 people at a live concert organised by a famous peace movement in Rome and broadcast via satellite to a Worldwide level, since then he has not stopped playing in numerous concerts and with various formations, in 1996 he opened his first recording studio in Padua. Since its opening “La Fabbrica del suono” has quickly become a reference point for many emerging artists and not in the north east of Italy. In every collaboration, a side of inspired research has always emerged, with great attention to detail and a deep love for music. They began a long collaboration with the director Marco Ruffatti in London and together they founded the duo “Cluster-1” creating many concerts, live performances, installations all over Europe creating live visual remixes of cult movies, Vj performances for clubs, corporate events and various art shows, in Italy, France, England, Norway and the U.S. In 2008 they received the silver prize at the VCA awards with the remix of Signal to Noise by “Peter Gabriel” performed live in Trafalgar Square in London. A few years later with composer Gary Marlowe he founded the film soundtrack production duo “Bear & Kaiser” producing soundtracks for German film and TV. In 2006 he moved to Milan and as studio manager or sound engineer/producer he worked with many artists from the Italian discography making several platinum and gold records in the record charts. In 2016 he set up LePArk, the first Italian multi structure of production, recording, coworking for artists, with two locations in Milan and many more coming in a national affiliated network, with the aim of building a new model of aggregation and business around emerging talents and not. After almost 30 years of activity he continues his work as a musician and producer and management. Personal Use was born out of a deep need to reconnect to an intimate, free part of one’s musical identity.
Graduated in Environmental Architecture in 2016 at Politecnico di Milano, Piacenza. In 2014, together with some students from the Polytechnic, he founded the cultural association “Presidio Temporaneo di Architettura”, which seeks to spark a debate around the theme of form as language and the inescapable relationship between matter and technique. The research sees form as a result of the articulated processes of transformation of matter, which are experienced through a direct and artisanal relationship with it. In 2015 he launched the Città Continua project, a workshop aimed at students in the three-year course of Architecture, ‘materially’ developing themes related to the city and its components, through research into the relationship between composition, technique and representation. In 2016 he realised the WoodMood project, through which he approached craftsmanship through research related to materials and their potential, creating a series of sustainable design elements. Since 2016 he has been a member of Studio Antimateria, pursuing research into matter in its non-physicality. Within the studio he is involved in video production, 3D modelling and set design. Since 2019 he has been a lecturer at the Naba academy. Computer Art course in Graphic Design and Art Direction – multimedia languages (Brand Design). The course presents how the use of computers has changed the way of thinking about reallising and disseminating art over the last century, from visual art to sound art, from installations to audiovisual performances.
